Was Kentucky one of the states that shut down this spring due to the confirmed AI? It might of been Tennessee, geez seems like my memory is slowly getting worse. I just thought this might be why there was not a show date available??http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/03/bird_flu_outbreak_is_nations_w.html
What about the APA national in Oklahoma? Maybe too far? Or too big? I think it is in November 2018...
Article 10 – National Meet
Any member may solicit bids (offers) from poultry show clubs wishing to host an Ameraucana National Meet and submit them to the President. Bids must be received by November first to be considered for the club’s National Meet to be held the following fall. The President shall share the list of bids with the Board members for discussion. The President will then ask for the Board to vote on the show club bids before November 15th. The Secretary will place the meet and promote it in the Winter Newsletter. If the show is cancelled for whatever reason, the President will direct the Board to vote to place the National Meet at another show as soon as possible. Club sponsored awards offered at the annual Ameraucana National Meet will be determined by the Board of Directors.
Some of the states not highlighted in color are the homes of members, apparently, just less than 5 - correct? Would it be a lot of trouble to show the numbers for each state? I think we have to consider not only individual states, but also numbers of members by regions - within a reasonable driving distance.
I was surprised to see we had that many in Texas!

There is no "poultry show" rate, since no one ever reserved a group. I will extend the corp rate, which is what I gave you,
to others, at this time.
Dawn
...I didn't think you had black bantams any more? I see one in that group.
John, do you know at this point what you might have available at Portage?
Open Show Judging begins as Junior Show is concluded
Quick question, I was thinking all entries needed testing within 90 days of the show. On the catalog John posted it states
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture requires Pullorum-Typhoid testing on all birds to be exhibited. All poultry must originate from flocks designated as U.S. Pullorum –Typhoid clean under the N.P.I.P or from equivalent flocks, or have had a Pullorum – Typhoid test within 90 days prior to showing. Due to enforcement of Ag Dept. rules, entries WILL NOT be accepted without proper forms. Please include with your entry a copy of either: NPIP certification of your flock, Wisconsin Tested Flock Certification, Wisconsin Associate Flock Certification, or a copy of Pullorum Test Report done within 90 days of the show. In addition, all Wisconsin exhibitors must have a Wisconsin Livestock ID # on their entry forms. We recommend that you band all of your birds.
So this means I do not have to have my birds tested if I am NPIP certified correct? My question is though what copy of certification are they wanting? I don't remember getting a certificate, just a book of VS-9 forms? Geez at least I don't remember getting a certificate, or are they just needing a copy of my last flock testing to continue my NPIP status???

The Blehms, Rennolets, and Gilberts are staying there.Well it's a well rated place so it's a good choice.
Hi Russ
I was at the Northeast Congress talking to Bob Rhodes. I mentioned I would like to see a "good blue" and his son Reese had one entered but Reese honestly believed he was "no good." Bob and I walked over to area where the Langshans were and the bird was gone. Bob asked and was told it was put up as Breed Winner. Reese then came by and was laughing about it, saying "Well we know that will go no where" and showed me some others in that line. After 1.5 hours later, Reese won the Best in Show, Super Grand Champion with that Langshan. I thought him beautiful, Reese was stunned, his father was laughing. So I don't really think any breeder is a good judge of his fowl; Reese was insisting the one home was "far better."
Oh I forgot to mention I also sent an entry in for my Uncle Dave. While I was in Florida during spring break he borrowed an old styrofoam incubator and set some eggs. He has a decent black and a decent blue bantam both cockerels. This will be his first ever show he has a bird entered so with beginner luck and a little help with me bathing them he may be the one to watch. Now to get his AA membership in just incase lol
Well that's just typical... My birds are falling to pieces. >:( >:( Show season is definitely getting close.
Not to change the subject from the dreaded M word but. John could you put myself, my wife Nicole, daughter Marina and Uncle Dave down for Friday and Saturday dinners? I thought I saw it somewhere and believe it was on this post??
