Title: Splash Ameraucana leg/feet color
Post by: Dustin Bonner on July 08, 2019, 11:37:34 AM
I got these chicks from a local guy. Supposed to be splash ameraucana. But the legs on one look nice and dark while the other has light colored feet yet. I know they’re young, will it darken? Or is this just an improperly colored bird? Also, what color is the beak suppose to be?

There is no accepted Standard for splash Ameraucana, so it matters little how the beak is colored.   I would think horn with black streaks would be the way to go.    Give the shanks plenty of time.   Sometimes the slate is lighter or darker - it varies some in even the accepted varieties.
