Wonderful news!  For those of you who have not been to the Dixie Classic before this club puts on a really nice show in a great building.  I have marked it on my calendar and I hope to see many of you there showing off all our great varieties and awesome birds!     ;D

I will have to miss the national for the 2nd year in a row, as I don't drive that far anymore.  Especially in the winter.

That's South enough that this old Georgia Boy might get to attend.  :)

Who are on the show committee Michael? Also perhaps we could get the health requirements for out of state birds?

Yay!!! Finally a national within driving distance!! AND not in October! I think I might just be able to pull this one off (if I can manage to hatch something, that is)!  But Mike it won't be the same without you. :'( I don't blame you about the drive, though - any chance you can catch a ride with someone?

Thanks Beth.  You never can tell, but at my age I don't plan too far ahead.

Russ, I will work with Harry House to get a bit of clarity regarding the health requirements. Given that I've noticed several states have been changing requirements, the story may change in the upcoming months when it comes to health requirements.

I've avoided responding to the postings on FaceBook because I believe there are some nuances of practice for poultry shows that are not the same as import rules for commercial meat and laying flocks being quoted. Meaning I've shown on a 90 day Missouri compliant testing papers in Tennessee with no issues and was going to this year until the Dixie Classic was canceled due to AI. I don't want to upset the common poultry show practice, especially a year out.

Yes, the state of Missouri testers are so overwhelmed with all the stuff going on that I not been able to get my flock NPIP testing done going on for 3 years now.

Stay tuned as we will be ironing out details and try to keep everyone up to date as we proceed. I just want to thank the board members and Stan Alder for volunteering to help put on another great Ameraucana Alliance national.

I am pleased to announce our board of directors have chosen our judges for the upcoming 2023 AA National Meet. Jeff Halbach will be judging our Bantam class and Brian Knox will be judging our large Fowl. I have saw them both judge Ameraucana, on several occasions, and thought they both did a great job. Hard to believe it will be held in less than 4 months

I just want members that may be attending the National Meet know I am calling the manager of the Comfort Inn East, in Knoxville TN, tomorrow to try and get a group discount. I will post the information here asap, sorry for the last minute attempt. Work, mainly my new role, is hectic to say the least.

Don’t forget November 25 is the entry deadline

I confirmed with Harry House that "post marked the 25th" is what is meant by the words on entry form.
