Exhibiting, Promoting & Club Notes / Blast from the past
« Last post by Mike Gilbert on February 10, 2024, 03:25:52 PM »
Here is a "blast from the past."  This was the BB Large fowl at our 1995 National Meet held in Alma, Michigan.   The 2nd place pullet is on her right in the first photo.   This was a line I bred up from colored birds.

Exhibiting, Promoting & Club Notes / New Lifetime Achievement Awards Page
« Last post by Rebecca G Howie on February 10, 2024, 09:03:30 AM »
The Lifetime Achievement Awards page has been updated with the addition of Stan Alder as the 2023 recipient for his support of the Ameraucana Alliance, his success in breeding and exhibiting outstanding examples of Ameraucanas in several varieties, and his efforts in the development of new varieties that will enhance the lineup of current accepted varieties. Go and take a look at the long list of Ameraucana enthusiasts that have made Ameraucanas one of the most popular exhibition poultry in the Show room. Thank you to all the dedicated breeders, exhibitors, and promoters of Ameraucana chickens, Large Fowl and Bantam!

Ameraucana Marketplace / Hatching eggs wanted by Self Blue Ameraucana
« Last post by Simone Bergmann on February 04, 2024, 06:30:03 AM »
Hello everyone,
I have a nice lady who is flying from Iowa to Germany in mid-April. This lady would bring me 10 hatching eggs in her carry-on luggage.
Is there anyone in the Iowa region who could send 10 eggs (very well packaged please) to this lady in time for her to bring back to Germany?
I'll get the exact flight details in the next few weeks.
It would be very nice if someone would contact me and support us in Germany with a start with Self Blue Ameraucana.
Thanks in advance.
Simone

Breeding / First hatch 2024
« Last post by Russ Blair on January 31, 2024, 08:46:28 PM »
Just pulled 20 chicks out of the hatcher. I left probably a dozen eggs in it that are pipped until tomorrow just to see if they make it out or not. Looks like I had one black, some wheaten and blue wheaten (Ameraucana and OEG), 1 lavender silver, and 1 F2 blue silver bantam project chick (it has silver phenotype).

Feel free to contact them with any questions at saulktrailpoultry@gmail.com I hope to see you there.

Exhibiting, Promoting & Club Notes / Dayton Fancy Feather Club Spring Meet
« Last post by Russ Blair on January 23, 2024, 10:49:09 AM »
Hello everyone,
It appears I forgot to announce the Ameraucana Alliance meet that I requested to be placed at the spring show in Greenville Ohio. It is ran by the Dayton Fancy Feather Club and will be on April 27-28 at the Darke County Fairgrounds. It is a double show with wide isles, well lit and single stacked cages. Amanda Heitzman is the show secretary and her contact information is amanda.heitzman@hotmail.com if you have any questions. Make plans to attend, there is usually a great turn out of Ameraucana and Alliance members, hope to see you there.

Well I have been told we do not need the two pre qualifier certificates before we send in the petition. So we are currently getting the needed affidavits signed and turned into myself in order to start the process. With a new standards committee getting ushered in April I am hoping to get approval and hold the first pre qualifier at the Wisconsin International Show in Portage WI September 28-29, 2024. Which is also the show that is hosting our Northern National Meet as well. So stay tuned  ;)

Exhibiting, Promoting & Club Notes / Re: Ermine news

Yay!  So exciting to see us helping Becky get project Ermine off and running.  So glad the Alliance is assisting her and that the some of the silent auction money is put to good use with this support.  I know she is working so hard on this project and will get this color approved!    :)
