2020 Ameraucana Southern National Photos & Winners

Here is Rebecca Howie's Best of Show Ameraucana, a Blue Wheaten bantam pullet.   Becky was pleased to report to me that this bird, and the RV Blue Wheaten bantam (2nd place pullet), and the 3rd best Wheaten bantam pullet (class of 16) were all out of a Blue Wheaten male that came from Red Stag Acres.

This is Sherry Klaus's Reserve Best of Show, a large fowl Blue pullet from Max Strawn's line.   Sherry did the mating, hatching, and conditioning.  Nice job with a really nice Blue!

Daniel Cook of Missouri with his best Ameraucana by a junior exhibitor, a LF Black cockerel.  I believe that may be his proud mom, Rachel, in the background?

And here is Becky with a big smile and her winning Blue Wheaten bantam pullet.  She does a great job with her birds.

The bacon wrapped chicken breast pieces prepared by Wes Klaus were superb!   As were all the meals which were served in a large tent thanks to Sherry's husband.

I kinda think this photo exemplifies what it's all about.   This is young William Vila' with his Best of Variety White bantam hen.   The smile says it all.

I agree Michael.   And it was less congested given the COVID situation.   I would hope we do this again.
