Rationalization or Justification?
« on: March 04, 2017, 12:16:59 PM »
Ok I may be in trouble so if no one hears from me in a week or two send the police. I have been thinking of getting another Dickey setter. I just happened to notice a $200 reward incentive from from a bank I have my chicken account at for a credit card. All I have to do is make a purchase of $500 or more within 30days. So long story short I can actually get another setter for $440 roughly. I look at this as smart purchasing, but the little voice in my head is saying rationalization. Now the real dilemma, to tell my wife now or beg for forgiveness later  :o. Man the dilemma these darn chickens get me into  :-\. Someone can move this not sure where it belongs, since it involved an incubator I posted it here. Wish me luck and say a prayer lol

It is always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. And someday soon that rule I have learned from my husband is going to net me a Dickey Incubator.  ;)

Adding another Dickey's is ALWAYS a good idea. I do agree on the smart investments.

Wow.  This is similar to a conversation that I had with my husband.  Next time, I am going to practice with you guys and gals first!  ;)

I have found it is better to definitely practice first lol. I will be honest though, I still haven't notified my wife of my intentions  :(. I know it would be an easier sale if my hatching room in the barn was completed. Needless to say I have convinced myself this is a wise decision. How often will the opportunity of $200 cash back present itself lol.

Ask for forgiveness. I ask for permission and got shot down!  ;)

I just seems like a good divorce lawyer is going to eat up that $200 savings in the end.  ;)
