2018 Fowl Stuff hatchery order form
« on: June 03, 2017, 09:54:14 AM »
I've posted my order form for day-old chicks in 2018 on my Fowl Stuff site's Chicks page.  For many years now I've done this in June and those that order early have the best chance of having their orders filled, since I often sell out and sometimes can't fill all the orders.

And what about the LF Brown Red project?

I have some nice looking young LF buffs and plan to show and sell them at the Fowl Fest.  I plan to drop more LF varieties after 2018 and breed mostly bantams.

Hatched many eggs from my LF black/brown red project and only raised the ones the mostly black ones with very little cream down.  So far I only see one cockerel feathering out as a brown red.  Another appears to be split for silver and gold.

I will probably have a few extra LF male brown reds if you need any, and could bring them to Fowlfest.

If none of my pullets feather in as brown reds I could use a pullet or two if available.

Is there anyone else raising buff LF who ships chicks? I've never tried, but maybe I should look into it?

When opportunity knocks . . .     I think you should go for it Beth, since John won't have them available.

I only ship day-old chicks within the US, but some have gone into Canada with customers paying extra for the required paperwork and then driving over the border to pick them up.  Although I don’t normally offer hatching eggs I’m not opposed to the idea of exporting several dozen in the spring, if you took care of all the export/import paperwork that may be involved.

Jensen has 1st option on two pairs of LF buffs at the Fowl Fest.  I'm not sure how many I'll have to show and offer.  It looks like I have about a dozen in a grow out pen with half or more looking like cockerels.

Jeff Sonsalla has 2nd choice on the LF buffs and after that I'll offer the rest for sale to whoever wants them at the show.  It looks like most of the remaining ones will be cockerels, after looking at the ones I still have in the grow-out pen.
