This young man whose name is Dominic lives near Minneapolis, but his aunt and her family reside not far from us, only about five miles away in fact. Each year he comes to his aunt's place during our county fair. Here he is this month with his blue ribbon, Blue Wheaten bantam cock bird that he received as a chick from yours truly. Rachel Dunn judged this year. Soon his cousin, a five or six year old girl, will be taking his place at the fair as Dominic ages out of 4-H competition. We have no open poultry at our fair, so just the youth compete. This year there were nearly 200 poultry entries.
In the next county over, Trempealeau County, a White Ameraucana bantam pullet took grand champion of all the poultry shown with Mark Peterson judging. There was very good competition, with especially many quality bantams exhibited.
Awesome, thanks for Sharing!
That is wonderful, I absolutely love seeing juniors place well with Ameraucana.
