The Coulee Region Poultry Club met the evening of April 30th and unanimously agreed to cancel our show this year. Highly Pathenogenic Avian Influenza has infected seven flocks in four counties in Wisconsin so far. Those counties are quarantined. No birds are to leave the premises. Any birds that survive the virus on the infected farms are destroyed by the State. Potential exhibitors from those counties would not be able to show. Many fanciers from the other countries would leave their birds home because of concerns their flock could become infected. Whether those concerns are legitimate is up for debate, but the bottom line is our entries would have seen a considerable decline from past years. Hence, no show, no A. A. Meet. To those who had already made travel plans, please accept our apologies. We will plan to have a show next year if the situation at that time allows it.
