Don't forget to start saving those beautiful eggs for the egg show! If your birds are like mine . . . it may be a challenge to get six.

I will be happy to take pictures of BV and RV.   It might be best to have two or more do this to ensure we get the best possible photos.  It takes a lot of time sometimes to get the birds to pose correctly, and I will also be working on the display computations so my time after the judging may be a bit limited.

Thank you Mike G. for helping with the display calculations and the picture taking. Getting the pictures is a deal.

A reminder that anyone can enter eggs into the Ameraucana Alliance eggs show. Here is how it works . . .

Two classes are provided: Bantam and Large Fowl Ameraucana Eggs.
Exhibitors may enter up to three entries in each class.
Ameraucana eggs only, from Ameraucana Alliance members only.

No entry fee!

Awards will be given for the “Best” and “Reserve” Bantam and Large Fowl eggs.
Entries will consist of six eggs presented in an egg carton, without labels or markings identifying
the exhibitor. The eggs should be uniform in, size, shape, etc., with all six being either Bantam
Hen eggs, Bantam Pullet eggs, Large Fowl Hen eggs or Large Fowl Pullet eggs.

An Ameraucana Egg Contest Exhibitor’s List will be maintained and shall not be viewed by the
judge. An assistant or the exhibitor will fill in the required information for each entry and write
the Entry Number and “B” for Bantam “LF” for Large Fowl, “H” for Hen eggs & “P” for Pullet
eggs on the egg carton. A separate “Judging Form” will be needed for each entry.

All entries become the property of the Ameraucana Alliance at the time of entry.

Two out of each entry of six eggs will be opened by the judge or the clerk to facilitate the
judging of interior qualities and coloring.

Each class will be judged to third place.

No unsolicited remarks by any exhibitor may be made within hearing of the judge during the
judging process. Violations will result in automatic disqualification of all entries of the
violator(s).

I will post a final result and pictures tonight or tomorrow. I tried uploading the meet report but the file is to big. Congratulations to Rachel Dunn on her Bantam Black Hen that took BV, BB, Ch AOCCL, Ch Bantam of Show, Res Champion land fowl and more importantly Champion Ameraucana overall. Mike Gilbert took RB in the Bantam Class with a Wheaten P.

Congratulations to Kyle Porosky on his LF Black P that took BV, BB, Ch AOSB, Res Ch Large Fowl, and more importantly Res Champion Ameraucana overall. Kyle also took RV, RB, Res AOSB with his LF Black K.

I believe a great time was had by all that attended. I would like to thank all our Members that helped make this National Meet a huge success.
