Minnesota State Poultry Assn Show

[Mike Gilbert]

There was no Alliance meet at this October 25-26 show, which had 1801 entries.  Three Ameraucanas ended up on Champion row, though.  Joy Brattlie had a nice win in the AOSB class, in which 20 Sumatras and some really nice Phoenix were shown.   Her Black cockerel topped the AOSB class.
In bantams, my Blue Wheaten pullet and Blue Wheaten cockerel went best and reserve AOCCL, respectively.  Both bantams along with a sister went home with Joy.  This has been one of my very favorite shows for many years now, and it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive from home.   That's about my limit for a one day drive these days.  Here are some pics.  The pullet flattened her beard on the cage wire.
