How wonderful!  This is a great venue and the host club is awesome.  this is one show I try to attend both in the spring and fall so to have the national here is a bonus for me.  Thank you board of directors for accepting this bid.

Look forward to seeing all your smiling faces at the show and talking chicken!  :)

As you all have read in our Spring Newsletter this year's National show committee will be Bruno Menarim, Brian Bailey with myself acting as Chairman of this committee. Bruno was originally going to act as chairman but he unfortunately had some other commitments pop up that would interfere with these duties so I agreed to assume those responsibilities.

There will be a long list of task that we would appreciate help with if anyone that is attending would like to help us with. Some of these will be clerking and judging the egg contest, help man the silent auction and club table, filling out the meet report, calculating displays and much more that I know I am forgetting right now. If you have the willingness to volunteer feel free to leave a comment or send me an email at slicktree{at}hotmail.com, thanks for reading this and I look forward to seeing some of you there.

Oh if you have any extra breeding quality Ameraucana that you would like to donate to our silent auction please let me know with a comment or in an email as well. As we get closer I will post a list of all of our donations, including the members name who generously donated them.

It's official.

Our beautiful Ermine Bantams will have an ABA acceptance meet at the Ohio National on November 8, 9 this fall.

Our Ameraucana Alliance National Meet will be a great chance to put on a great exhibit of Ermine Bantams before that acceptance meet. Last year we had a fine looking class of 24 at the National in Fayetteville, AR!

Let's get these guys out for a practice run again this year at our National Meet in Dayton.

Just for interest - a group of gangly young cockerels

I am pleased to announce that this board of directors have voted to have Paul Monteith judge our bantam class of Ameraucana at this year's National Meet. John Beamer will be judging the large fowl class of Ameraucana, and Tom Carey is our alternate pick if either of the other judges end up not being able to attend. With Paul and John deciding our champion and reserve champion Ameraucana overall.

Paul Monteith is the current chair for the ABA standard committee. John Beamer is also serving on that committee along with Gary Rossman. This will be a great opportunity for the bantam ermine breeders to showcase all the hard work they have put into them. I look forward to seeing a bunch of members there, this should be an amazing Ameraucana National.

It looks like there were 185 Bantam and 99 Large Fowl Ameraucana entered in the open class. I can't wait to see them all on exhibit. I spent today bathing and fine tuning some of my better birds. If I get the numbers for the junior class I will post them as well.
