Dayton Fancy Feather Club (be sure to mention it) has a discount rate at the Quality Inn (937) 316-5252. The discounted rate is $89 for a single King, or double queen room. Be sure to book them ASAP, I just booked mine today and they only have 8 King and 9 double queen rooms left at that rate. The Holiday inn in Greenville never got back with Jeff. I believe the quality inn has a banquet room that they will let us use for club meeting as well according to Jeff.

Today is the 16th!  I've got to get my entry form in the mail today, but so many birds have been molting.  I guess I'll still enter the ones I planned to hoping they will be good enough to show in 3 weeks.

Amanda is accepting all entries through out this week. I just e mailed mine to her and paid through pay pal if anybody else needed to as well the account is daytonfancyfeatherclub@gmail.com I just added a note to my payment stating it was for mine and my uncle Daves entry. I could only muster 2 large fowl and 21 bantams due to the molting and predator attacks I have had this year  . I only could come up with 2 trios and no displays unfortunately. I honestly didn't see any real contenders tonight while sorting through every pen I could. Perhaps all the poorly conditioned ones I entered will make the 1-2 mediocre ones look better  . Either way I am guaranteed to have fun and fellowship, looking forward to it like I am packing a bunch of winners lol.

We have another donation for our silent auction at the Eastern National next weekend. Jeff Sonsalla will be sending a nice young pair of Lavender bantams. I saw them today; they are not finished out yet, but the cockerel has a really nice comb and a good full front end. A terrific start for somebody in this variety.

I had some signs made this summer to put on coop doors for family and friends to see when they come over for some of our get-togethers.  I have an extra about Ameraucana chickens that I'll donate to our silent auction.
