Improving LF buff Ameraucanas

Previous topic - Next topic

John McDermott lives near Rochester, Minnesota, and he is in the middle of improving his line of Buff LF.  I gave him the last LF Wheaten male I had, one which had been hatched and raised by Jeff Sonsalla.  It had some of Barb Campbells Wheaten line blood in it, and was quite nice.  Anyway, John crossed the Wheaten male over his Buff females, and has about 3 dozen hatched from the F-2 generation.  he is already considering culling for color faults.  So progress is being made, and I can't wait to see the end results of his project in another year or two.
