Johnny Parks has a small flock of red Ameraucana he has been working on for a few years, I believe he is on F3 or 4 now. We had tried last year to get a few going as well, by crossing our Bantam buckeye onto bantam black, results were leakage on black, with awesome body depth and width, great wingset, tighter feathering, red bay eye color, but yellow skin, and lacking full beard and muffs in first generation. Laid green eggs on the 4 pullets we kept. We had to scrap the project due to cross country move. But I was encouraged with the progress we had in F1, and maybe will resume it some day. They made excellent table birds.
