Well I have been working in Columbus Ohio the last two weeks. I was just told today on my drive home that we now may be awarded more contracts due to the other contractor not being able to maintain the schedule. This will give me a great opportunity to make some serious income right before I retire. I currently have 70-80 breeders and 250+ growouts that my loving wife has been taken care of for me while I have been working out of town. If we get these contracts I may be working in Columbus for the next year and I will need to drastically reduce my flock to help my wife manage the many other task I will not be able to help with like the garden, the various berry patches, fruit trees and other homesteading chores. If you are interested in Black, Blue, Brown Red Buff or Wheaten Ameraucana Bantams located in SE Michigan you might want to stay tuned to this post. I will be looking for serious Ameraucana breeders and exhibitors to share them with and you must be an Ameraucana Alliance member. If you are chicken peddler, breeding for profit, don’t bother contacting me as I would prefer to pop their heads off than see someone charge outrageous prices for quality birds. If you doubt the quality of birds I have produced do yourself a favor and scroll through the archived newsletters, preferably the winter edition and just take a look at how my birds have placed at the last 10 Ameraucana Alliance Nationals I have attended. Just because I refuse to charge a lot for my birds definitely doesn’t mean they will not compete at any level of competition. Once this job is over and I retire I would most likely be looking to get some of them back, or at least offspring from them without any other lines crossed into them. This is a really tough choice for me to make but unfortunately it may be necessary in order to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity our good lord may have just blessed me with. I will know more within the next week and I will update this post as I hear more. Thank you for reading this
