How about a report from someone who attended?   Curious to know the results of the Ermine qualifying meets.

Mike, Laurie Ashley volunteered to fill out the meet report and write up an article for our winter newsletter to wrap up the bantam Ermine qualifying meet. I was asked to join Paul Monteith as he judged them while Michael Sayre clerked for him. Since Stan Alder was the Chairman of the subcommittee I asked if he could also join us.

There were 28 bantam Ermine entered by 11 exhibitors with Anna Babst taking Best of Variety with a pullet. Rebecca Howie was giving the Reserve of Variety honors for her pullet as well. I think Paul and Michael both liked the looks and uniformity of them and it sounds like the ABA standard committee was also pleased with them. Unfortunately the board of directors could not vote on them due to Paul needing to fill out a meet report for them.

I along with the other three petitioners sent Paul the needed information this afternoon and he was going to fill out the paperwork this afternoon. I am hoping we will get a final answer in the next week or two but he did say it could take 4-6 weeks before they vote. I will definitely let everyone know when I hear there answer.

As far as Ameraucana winners I know Brad Stonebarger did very well with his bantam and large fowl. He took BB, RB in the large fowl class with a pullet and cockerel. The pullet went onto win Res AOSB. His black pullet won BB in the bantam class with Rebecca Howie receiving the RB honors on a wheaten pullet. Brads daughter Gracie made it to champion row with her black bantam pullet taking Res AOCCL and her large fowl cockerel taking BB, Ch AOSB and Res Ch Large Fowl (if my memory is correct).

I believe a good time was had and I even ran into an old friend on Saturday, see the picture below 😊

Meet report was submitted as soon as I got back home from Ohio on Monday afternoon :)
I don't know how to attach photos taken at the show, to these forums, as I don't have any accounts with 3rd party host sites. I would be happy to forward photos to someone else who can?
And into whatsoever house ye shall enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

No 3rd party host is needed. You can post up to 6 images to any of your posts. The forum doesn't automatically condense or resize images, like some programs/applications do. I generally crop my images and resize them before posting them, so each one is well within the allowable maximum limit. The limits are in the Forum Guidelines and Information topic, but I see they didn't get updated. In 2019 the board increased the Restrictions: 6 per post, maximum total size 15000KB, maximum individual size 3000KB. I started our original forum and when I migrated it to this SMF forum I used suggested limits for images, so we wouldn't run out of room on our server. I don't know how much server space is available to the Alliance today, but still like to keep the images I post quite small.

Hopefully I did this right LOL

THese are images taken while the bantam Ermines were being judged for acceptance, with both Russ Blair and Stan Alder attending to answer questions.
