It's the summer solstice, June 21, 2016. Longest day of the year. I'm starting to find little blue eggs in my pens from my January hatch, and upon examination it turns out they are all from wheaten bantams. I'm just hoping to keep a few of these birds in condition for Lebanon, but now suspect I started hatching too early. Luckily there are a few younger wheaten & blue wheaten bantam pullets, but at half size it is hard to know how they will turn out. I guess there are worse problems to have.
