Silver Ameraucana males X Lt. Sussex

 Steve Neumann:   Mr Blair commends your Silvers and I hope you have sufficient to share.  I'm new to this org. and website, so please bear with me.  My project calls for at least two male and 3 or 4 female Silvers.  Where are you?  Are you willing to ship chicks or hatching eggs?
Older birds are acceptable if transportation remains manageable.

The Ameraucana traits to be captured are the Pea comb, slate legs and bluish eggs.  Personality counts as well.  Northern New Mexico needs a more cold-resistant winter layer that requires little coddling.  If we can fix turquoise eggs appeal should increase.

The crosses you are trialing are likely to appeal as well:  a well-proportioned and patterned Columbian is a delight.
Will you have any use for the F1 heterozygous males (assuming this goes forward?). They'll be birchen/ wheaten based; Co/co+, etc.

We're in and near Santa Fe.   I must limit my fowl exposure because I've had hypersensitivity pneumonitis.  I've been able to find an experienced grower/farmer who is interested in the project.  So, what can you spare roughly when?

I've seen on Steve Neumann's Farm page that he got out of the silver variety at some time over the summer.     I raise Large Silvers in PA, but your to far for me to ship birds to.
