2026 Ameraucana Alliance Elections

Good evening, I just wanted to start a topic for this year Ameraucana Alliance officer elections. First off I want to remind everyone that ALL nominations must be received by October 1, 2026. Be sure to email them to me or feel free to announce it below in a comment.

Also, I would like to thank Jeff Sonsalla and Stan Alder. I asked Jeff to be this year's election commissioner. Stan Alder has agreed to be the assistant election commissioner. If you are not familiar with our election process or the requirements to run and hold office go to our website at Ameraucana.org and you can find all the information in our constitution.

As far as the election commissioner and assistant election commissioner here are their duties found in article 5 of our by-laws:

Article 5 - Election Commissioner and Assistant Election Commissioner
An Election Commissioner and Assistant Election Commissioner shall be appointed by the President by August 20th of an election year. They cannot be current officers or on the ballot for office. The Commissioner may receive ballots via email, thru an online voting site and by U.S. Mail. The Commissioner shall tally them and promptly forward the results and the ballots to the Assistant Election Commissioner.  The Assistant will then forward only the official election results to all Board members. The Assistant Election Commissioner shall retain the ballots until December 31st, in case of any challenges to the election, and then all ballots and copies shall be destroyed.

As you saw when I emailed newsletters, I will be running for re-election for President of the Ameraucana Alliance. I would also like to announce Rachel Dunn has volunteered to run for re-election as well.

There is still time to send me your nominations for the upcoming 2026 Ameraucana Alliance officer elections. Just remember I need them BY October 1, 2026

I would like to announce that Mike Gilbert has nominated Scott Lepak for a director at large position. Scott has agreed to run for re-election, and he will be added to this year's ballot.
