Mouse Trap - Flip and Slide Bucket Lid

I have been looking at the Flip and Slide Bucket Lid mouse trap. Anyone ever tried one?

Mike Gilbert

No, but I have used a homemade mousetrap using a four or five gallon bucket.  Put a little corn or other grain in the bottom, pour in about 3 or 4 inches of clear water, and make sure there is a ramp or some other way for mice to get to the top of the bucket. Setting it right beside a bale of hay or straw works.  Oftentimes they will dive in to get the grain, and the water on their bodies and feet make the sides too slick to climb up.  So eventually they drown.

Thanks Mike! Good to know about a homemade version that works and that the concept works. I need to make a dent in the mouse population in the barn.
