New Photos on Facebook

Mike Gilbert

I just posted a group of photos received much earlier from John Blehm and had forgotten they were in my inbox until I went back and cleaned it out recently.    Sorry John!    They are there now!    Here is the link:

Those were old photos from 2004 - 2006, so some varieties may be long gone from here. ;)

And here is one of some of my buff bantams from March of 2005.

Did you send that one to me?   I must have missed it.

Yes, but they were only sent for you to consider for posting on the Facebook page.
I see the photo with several varieties received many "Likes" for what that is worth.
The one of my buffs was on the club's original Facebook page (Michael started it.) as the background for many years and may still there. The photo looks pretty "cool" with the snow in the ground.

Yes Mike mentioned that as a few shots got strong interest.  Pity you let them go as you had some beauties.  I guess you didn't like them as much as the competition?  Always a problem..choices...too many birds and not enough space or money.

Story of my life! That's why I'm steadily moving to bantams - I can have more of them! ;)

I thought of that Beth, but I have found that bantams do not weather the winters as well, and so we abandoned that project for the most part.  The few bantams I have, are in the mudroom so they have overall warmer pens.  Alas it is not so big that I could put lots there, so either if I went to total bantams I would not only have to cut back on what I already have variety wise but also on the overall amount.  I don't think I'm ready for that.  But who knows though what the future holds...

Yep, very different climate here. Fixin' to find out how well the weather hurricanes... :-\
