Ameraucana Meet Policy update
« on: November 21, 2019, 09:03:08 PM »
The board deliberated and voted for the following changes to our Meet Policy regarding Ameraucana Club Meets...

In Open Show competition, with three or more birds in a class, we offer...
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed bantam.
                • a ribbon for Reserve of Breed bantam.
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed large fowl.
                • a ribbon for Reserve of Breed large fowl.
In Junior competition, we offer...
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed bantam.
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed large fowl.

Our old policy for this area was…
In Open Show competition, with at least two exhibitors competing, we offer...
                • a Best of Breed Ribbon, with 3 or more Ameraucana  bantams judged.
                • a Best of Breed Ribbon, with 3 or more Ameraucana large fowl judged.
                • a Reserve of Breed Ribbon with 5 or more Ameraucana bantam bantams judged.
                • a Reserve of Breed Ribbon with 5 or more Ameraucana large fowl judged.
In Junior competition, regardless of the number of exhibitors competing, we offer...
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed bantam, with 3 or more Ameraucana bantams judged.
                • a ribbon for Best of Breed large fowl, with 3 or more Ameraucana bantams judged.

How are you defining class?   Total entries of one variety, or must be 3 hens, cockerels, pullets or cocks?

Ribbons for wins at Ameraucana Club Meets are only given at the "Breed" level or class (BB & RB), so for example if three bantam Ameraucanas are in competition an award is earned.

Alliance members that don't want to continue to receive ribbons may opt out, as several of us have.  The same goes for members that want to opt out from earning Exhibitor Points.
