Do we have an updated 2nd Pre-qualifying meet since Moon City was canceled?  I know a couple of options were looked at and discussed, but I think entry closing dates are coming up soon for some of them?

How about scheduling it for our show in Galesville, Wisconsin, on June 7th?

Laurie I believe that they are trying to hold the second pre-qualifier at the Volunteer State Poultry Show in Tennessee April 26th. This is what Stan Alder told me just two days ago 👍

Had a great showing of Ermine at the Volunteer State show this week end! This was our 2nd prequalifying meet and it was a huge success. A big THANKS to all .. very nice birds by Becky Pelton, Brian Bailey, Michael Muenks, Shauna Morgan Tanseye,  Leigh Schilling Edwards, and yours truly.  Phil Bartz was one of the judges and he is the chair of the APA Standard Committee. He was very encouraging and thinks the SOP will be approved by June. Then it is on to the first Qualifying meet. We hope to hold that at the Ohio National in conjunction with the ABA National where we are also planning to have the bantam acceptance meet.

It has been a while since I have updated this Forum.  So here it goes . . . .

1) The ABA has approved the name “Ermine” and the SOP.  They have also approved the Qualifying  meet.  The meet will be held at Ohio Nationals on November 8th & 9th , 2025.  We are needing a total of 25 birds at this show. Rebecca Howey is keeping a list of names and number of birds for this show.  So if you have any question or would like to show your stuff please message her.

2) The APA has approved the name “Ermine” and the SOP the committee submitted to them.   The big news is the APA has approved the Ohio Nationals show to be held on November 8th & 9th , 2025 to be the 1st Qualifying meet for the LF.  That means the Ohio Nationals in 2026 will be our final Qualifying meet for the LF.  I am keeping all the breeders names and total bird count for this event.  So please feel free to contact me regarding the show.  LF also needs 25 birds.

The AA and all of its members have been invaluable in this endeavor.  Since Ohio Nationals will be the Qualifying meet for the Bantams and the 1st Qualifying meet for the LF we will have a table set up with Silent Auction items to help raise funds for Cash prizes for our first card winners for both the Bantams and LF.  Since this variety has been supported by the member of the AA will have volunteers manning this table throughout the entire event.   On this table we will have items that will be sold to help increase the monetary funds for AA.  We will also be recruiting new members for our group.  I would like to have different members helping to man the table, if possible.   So all of our Wonderful members can meet and greet new member prospects.  I will be checking this forum regularly so feel free to ask any questions or post any concerns you may have.

This has been a group effort and I want to be sure I continue making every feel involved. Even if you are not breeding or showing.

Thank you ALL again!  This has been a rocky road for all of us but I’m going to keep moving towards our goal.

Let Do this ! !   Remember “Quality over Quantity “

Question:   Is the Ohio National also going to be an APA qualifying meet for Ermine bantams as well as for the ABA?  I must confess I have not been following this closely enough.

We have only petitioned the ABA for acceptance of Ermine Ameraucana Bantams.

We have not started the APA process for recognition for the Ermine Ameraucana Bantams yet.  As soon as this leg of our journey is behind us, we will no doubt begin the APA process for Bantams. We are just coming up to the APA required 5th year breeding bantams.
