Thanks Mike. All four belong to me. I bred, hatched and raised them. I was just very fortunate at this show. I believe there were 70+ Ameraucanas total. Some were bantams.

The last black cockerel was the ABC National Champion in Fayetteville. BV/BB  RES. AOSB was the black cock bird. Best AOSB was a black Shamo.

The bottom black male has the correct 45 degree tail angle, the other two are a little off on that one point.   But it is very hard to evaluate a bird based on one photograph.  I do like that blue hen.

Pictures rarely do them justice. The hen was on high alert, the dark blue cockerel wouldn't give me a broadside shot, the black cock was being lazy, and the black cockerel did ok but was a bit flighty. The dark blue cockerel and the black cockerel are brothers.

Thank you,  and thanks to everyone who has contributed their knowledge and advice. And to those who gave me a great start in Ameraucanas. It wouldn't be possible without all of you.  :)

Russ Blair

Congratulations on the wins, definitely some nice Birds.
