Cracked Egg
« on: April 03, 2015, 03:48:35 PM »
I believe this is a first for me.  This egg came from a LF lavender/black cross year old hen yesterday.  It appears to have cracked, during development of the shell, and mostly healed or fixed itself before being laid.

Interesting, are you going to incubate it?

Yes.  Where it is cracked the shell protrudes a bit, so it isn't as round as it would normally be.

I've actually gotten a couple of these this year, don't remember ever getting them before, either.  ???

Never got one of those from my Am's but I have seen 'em in my other breeds.  Buckeyes the most I think.
