2018 National Meet Large Fowl photos

Sorry to say I did not get all the winners, but I'll post here what I do have.   First is the Champion LF and Reserve Ameraucana over all, a black cockerel by new member Nate Rynish.   My photo did not take, so Nate was kind enough to send me one of his.  This bird was also chosen Champion AOSB of the show.

The Reserve Large Fowl was this Black pullet by John Blehm.  She was chosen as Reserve AOSB of the show, which was about 2200 entries in total.   She has nice wide feathering with a green sheen, just the way you want them.

Best large fowl Blue was this pullet, also by Nate Rynish.   RV Blue was a hen by Scott Lepak, the 2nd photo.

Best Buff was a cockerel by Jeff and Jacob Sonsalla.

Reserve L.F. Buff was a really nice pullet by John Fegan.  This is the one I had mentioned seeing at the Michigan U.P. State Fair.   She went home with Jeff, so I'm hopeful of getting some chicks from her, as Jeff and I are both member/officers in the Coulee Region Poultry Club.

Best large fowl Brown Reds were a pullet (BV) and a cockerel (RV) by John Blehm

Reserve AOV Large Fowl was this Lavender pullet by Jen Fegan.   Best AOV large fowl was a real nice Splash pullet by Max Strawn, but she was camera shy.

Top Silver LF was this hen by John Blehm, and the Reserve Silver LF was a cock by Jeff and Jacob Sonsalla.

John Blehm showed a few of his newest large fowl creation, Lavender Silvers.   A pullet was judged best, and a cockerel reserve.   This is all the large fowl photos I have.  I'll do another thread for the bantams.   Feel free to comment below.

The Lavender Silvers are an interesting look.  Seems lighter than a regular lavender.  Nice work John.
How'd the Vorweks go?  Did they win anything?

Congratulations to everyone! There were a lot of awesome birds there and I had a great time showing and meeting everyone.  Great photos Mike, although you have the photos for the blues switched around.  The one you have pictured as Nate's is actually my girl ("Indie" as we call her, I think I'd recognize her anywhere ), and the one you have pictured as mine is Nate's.  No worries though, I just thought I'd clear that up.  As far as I can tell I think all of the other photos are posted accurately.  Again, congratulations everyone!

Lovely Splash.  I got a few from Max a few years ago, not as big as her, but the splashing was similar.  He does a fantastic job there.  Congratulations Max.

I changed the photo of the first one in this thread, the BB large fowl Black cockerel by Nate Rynish, as this is a much better photo.  Nate won another Champion AOSB at another show with the same bird on October 6th, so this photo is from today, Oct. 6.
