With the new year and many new members we've run out of Ameraucana Handbooks.  Don Cable published the original Ameraucana Bantam Handbook in 1982.  I’ve published updated Handbooks in 1998, 2005, 2014 and 2016.  I plan to print 500 this time.  This will be in full color, like the last one, so ad prices are the same for Black & White ads as they are for Full Color.
Each new, first time, member receives a Handbook and they will also be available to purchase on our website.
Please consider advertising in the Ameraucana Handbook.  With enough paid, poultry related, ads the cost of publishing will be covered.  Please send ad information and payment to me by January 19th.  There is no extra charge for designing your ad.

The prices are:
Full page ad, 4 ½” x 7 3/4” = $150
Full page ad, 4 ½” x 7 3/4” on an inside cover or the outside back cover = $200
plus you receive 2 complimentary Handbooks!

½ page ad, 4 ½” x 3 7/8” = $85
plus you receive a complimentary Handbook!

¼ page ad, 2 ¼” x 3 7/8” = $50
plus you receive a complimentary Handbook!

Please keep in mind these ads don't have to be “For Sale” ads (Kathy thought I should let you know  ).
Below are a some sample ads I developed to give you some ideas.  It is just $50 for a 1/4 page full color ad including design of your ad!
You could feature a photo of a yourself with or without a winning bird or award, your kid(s), grandkid(s), favorite Ameraucana, in memory of ?, acknowledge a mentor, etc.

They've been printed and shipped.  The printer estimates I should receive them Monday.  I'll send them out next week to those that advertised in it and to our newest members that haven't received an Ameraucana Handbook yet.
Alliance members that would like to buy a copy or more of this latest edition may do so for $4 (updated 3/9/2018) each, includes postage in Canada and US.

Just received my new handbooks, just wanted to say John did another fantastic job laying it out. I truly love the quality of it as well not to mention all the great articles and pictures from the past. Thanks John and all those who purchased adds or submitted articles, it is awesome.

Why are NEW members getting this and not all members?  We all pay the same money...$10.00.  Is this in the constitution?
Or is this an arbitrary decision?

1st time members receive an Ameraucana Handbook!
It isn't in the constitution, but it has always been our policy since Don published our 1st handbook in 1982.  The board of directors may have voted on the policy back then and we've continued with it.  All members get 1 handbook with their membership.  After that they can buy newer versions as they come out.  Other than that advertisers in the handbooks receive one of two handbooks, depending on the size of the ad they buy.
